The site behind a consultant's own name

The brief

A consultant with a clinic site already has one website. The temptation is to make it do everything, and that is where it goes wrong. A patient wants timings and a booking button. A conference secretariat wants a biography and a photograph in the right resolution. A pharma medical affairs team wants publications. A nominating committee wants credentials laid out and verifiable.

Serve all of them from the clinic site and two things happen: the patient pages get cluttered, and the doctor's own name starts competing with the clinic for the same search results.

What we built

• A separate site under the doctor's own name, covering credentials, speaking, research, books, the course, press and writing
• Three approved biographies, short, medium and long, each with a copy button, so a secretariat never writes its own version
• A podium introduction, ready for whoever is chairing the session
• Speaking enquiries and a course waitlist, feeding a dashboard the doctor opens directly
• Person and Physician structured data tying the profiles together, so search engines connect the name to the right person
• Patients routed to the clinic site, so the two never compete for the same search

Why three biographies

Every event asks for a bio, and if you do not hand them one they write it themselves. That is how a Diabetologist and Bariatric Physician ends up introduced from the stage as something he is not, printed in a brochure that then circulates for years. Three approved versions with copy buttons is a small feature that prevents a recurring problem, and the same rule holds throughout: qualifications appear exactly as the doctor states them, never upgraded to sound better.
