Written for the donors and CSR teams who check before they give

A registered public charitable trust running free diabetes screening, public education and an annual expo. Registrations, approval orders and costed programmes, all on the page.

The brief

The trust had a website already, a generic template with stock photographs and a contact form. It looked like every other small charity site, which is a problem, because a CSR officer deciding where a company's money goes treats a vague website as a reason to move on.

The people who matter to a trust site are not browsing. They are verifying. They want the registration numbers, the approval orders, what a programme costs, and a way to pay that produces a valid receipt.

What we built

  • The 12AB and 80G registration numbers published in full, with the approval orders available to download
  • A donation form that collects exactly what an 80G receipt needs, plus bank details for NEFT and CSR transfers
  • Costed programmes, so a donor can see what a given amount actually funds
  • A partner page for companies, with a clear line drawn between funding and clinical content
  • A full payment flow on the site itself, rather than a payment link pasted into a page

No impact counters

Plenty of charity sites open with spinning numbers: lives touched, camps held, people screened. We published none, because only what is documented goes on the page. A number that cannot be evidenced is worth less than no number at all, and the one audience that matters here is exactly the audience that will ask you to prove it.

The same rule applies to the documents. The tax approval orders are public, so they are published. The trust deed and the PAN card are not, so they are given on request.

How it runs now

The trust can point a company at one address and everything a due diligence check asks for is already there.

Run a trust or a foundation?

A site that survives due diligence looks different from a pretty one. A person replies by email within one working day.
